Building Strong Community Links

As a locally-run company, SWR Home & Outdoor prioritises community engagement wherever possible. We’re governed by our core values which place people at the centre of our operations; therefore, we’re passionate about connecting with our local community and making a meaningful impact.

We work with a local school, Astley Cooper, as an Enterprise Advisor Partner, supporting their Work-Based Learning Programme to help students into the workplace. This provides students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and develop their skills, preparing them for the transition from education to employment. We are committed to empowering young people and helping them to realise their full potential, and we believe that partnerships like this are crucial for contributing towards a brighter future.

We also support local charities by taking part in various fundraising challenges throughout the year. Recently, members of our team took on the gruelling task of cycling 130 miles from the Roman Theatre of Verulamium in St Albans to the Roman Baths in Bath, raising money for the Hospice of St Francis.
